i have multiple drives and need to make copies of unencrpted dvd's from one drive to my blanks in the other drive. i know i can image then burn that, but i was trying to save a step. just curious what software i would use to do this kind of burning. tried cdrwin 3.9g and recordnow 7.0 cdrwin said it couldn't handle the format of the disc and recordnow just gave me 3 coasters. so anyhelp here would be great, thanks

How fast is your machine? I can burn unencrypted dvd's on the fly at 4x with no problems.
Mine's an athlon 3200+ with a gig of memory though.

ironically, mine is the same. i would think i can burn at at least 8x since i can definately rip faster than that, but i'd be happy with 4x especially if i could skip the step of ripping the discs to my hdd, but what software do you use to do this?

Always remember you can only burn as fast as you can read. If your trying to copy a 4x you can't burn at 8x etc, etc.
.
And if your multiple drives aren't the same and have the same firmware your just wasting your time.

create a ISO file to hdd using dvddecrypter (mode-ISO-read) .you need to do it only one time.
burn that ISO file thousands times using dvddecrypter again(mode-ISO-write) .
and the best...it's free! ;)

So...he cant simply copy from his reader to his burner with Nero 6?...if the movie has previously been decrypted?

yes and have good options with nero:
if he have 2 burners drives,he can load that ISO in nero and burn with this 2 burners at the same time.
if he have only one burner drive and one reader, he can use only the burner without the reader and the general performance of the system is better and the dvd reader free!
and burn ISO files is more secure than on the fly! ;)

But what if it's not an ISO?.....what if I want to make a copy of a copy?
Will player to burner work?

geneticweapon,
please read it slow cos my english is not so good!
yes, you can but it's not so secure as using hdd source ISO or dvdfolder.
for more than one copy, better is build an ISO or rip with dvddecrypter to hdd cos you will use the reader only one time and the burner alone for the desired number of copys.
if the system is stable(good ram size, defrag the hdd, etc)will live the system free to other task and you can burn each copy faster than using on the fly(reader for burner)! :)
