CCE and audio ?

where is the audio options in CCE SP 2.67 ?

I can't find a proper audio bitrate higher than 300 kbites or so. (not the usual 1500 we see in mpa).

Is DVD PCM = to AC3 dvd ?

someone told me it does not need reencoding if you want the output to be AC3.

There are three main formats for DVD
1) LPCM
2) AC3
3) MPA
(DTS would be the 4th, but there are no affordable consumer level encoders around)

MPA (mpeg audio) goes up to 384, which is what CCE encodes in.

The 1500 you speak of is most likey LPCM, this is uncompressed.

CCE does not encode to AC3.

PCM and AC3 are not the same.

becareful with mpa...it is not NTSC standard as it is with PAL...to be on the safe side i would stay with PCM and AC3. i would use a stand alone program for audio encodes NOT CCE as it's reportedly buggy.

what should I do to stay with PCM ?

should I leave CCE with NO Audio Encoding ?

LPCM at around 1500 kbits is the normal WAV file we get when we acquire. We don't need to touch it right ?

ya leave CCE with NO Audio Encoding..use it only for video

im not saying stay with PCM, im saying it's safer to stay with PCM and/or AC3 if youre a NTSC person, PAL people can use mpa although there are some NTSC machines that can playback mpa but not all.

Vegas 5 has an excellent DD encoder

...and it's best not to use BeSweet for your ac3 encodes
