I have been trying to access their page ( www.videohelp.com or www.dvdrhelp.com ) over the past day or so myself. I think they have been shut down or something. I bet that dude named Baldrick must be P.O.ed

they have had trouble with their server in the past, so I'd not be too concerned. And just a few weeks back this forum was dead for a long while...

I seriously doubt it was shut down. They have a very strict (no) warez policy. I'm betting on server problems as well...

Yes the servers are FUBAR right now (sometimes you can sort of access the site but its garbled.) Its happened a couple times in the past but apparantly the admins are enjoying the long weekend a little to much which explains the extended downtime. I'm sure they will start working on it Tues morning.

Quote from www.videohelp.com
"We are moving to a new server. It will hopefully only take a few days to fix. ETA: Sep 7, 2004.

I'm happy to say that Videohelp is back on the air as of Tues. Sept. 7 am.

The problem was a server crash at Mushkin. Baldrick has since moved the forum to a new ISP, and the new server OS is Linux.

Mushkin didn't have any off-hours tech support and the forum was allowed to remain down for more than 72 hours. As of Wednesday they still hadn't replied to his urgent request for assistance.

I guess any idiot can operate a server these days:(

The new server is wicked-fast. Baldrick is still ironing out the wrinkles, and some posts got lost, but all in all, it's an improvement.:)

All our members have recovered from their withdrawal symptoms and are happily posting away just like before:D
