Avoid buying local office DVD medias?

Is there any reason to avoid DVD media branded by Staples, Office Depot, and etc.?
This will be my first set that I am buying.

well you do not really know what's in there -so there is a chance that you buy a pack of media that is not working together all that well with your burner. on the other hand, if you are lucky, the media is produced by the right manufacturer and therefore goes well with your burner.

so, i'd say it's totally your call, if you are ok with a little risk of buying a pack of dvds you might not be able to burn later, go ahead, if you want to go the save way, look up your burner at www.dvdrhelp.com, and buy your media according to other users experiences!

PS: you do not have to open a new thread with each and every little question you have. it is far more convenient for us to have all your Q's collected in one big thread so we can see what was dealt with in earlier posts already!
