Hi there,
I am trying to edit some avi files. Some are to fit to CD-R, others I simply want to extract certain scenes from the complete file. Unfortunately, the files with the vorb or OGG Vorbis audio encoding are not able to be cut up to smaller chunks.
I use two programs ... Easy Video Splitter or Virtual Dub Mod. Both allow me to select the part of the movie I want to make into a smaller file.
Easy Video simply can't open the files with the vorb audio, and while Virtual Dub will open them, unless it crashes first, the output files are minus audio.
* Virtual Dub displays the following info
- Audio Tag - 0xFFFE Not decodable extensible wave format (or OGG Vorbis)
- Compression - unknown (tag FFFE)
These files all play in video LAN, but all attempts to output to another file all seem to fail as well.
So, the question is, is there any way I can cut these files up and keep the sound?
