I have turned off all unncecessary programs and antivirus programs running on the background. I am only running DVD Analyzing to encode my DVD.

Analyzing took over an hour.
It is encoding at the moment. Total time remaining is 1 hour and 50 minutes!! Is this normal? I have 512mb ram and I have fragmented my harddrive.

The total size of the DVD that I am encoding is about 4.4 GB.

in peferences, there is a low priority mode; that could be why it was so slow for me today

Normal analysis 2 minutes
followed by a shrink process about 10 minutes long

I need more info (your PC specs). You can also check the dma settings on your DVD burner. (Be sure is not in pio mode)
