Guys, someone tell me...is there a way of increasing the volume on a DIVX avi ? or converted mpg

Just spent 8 hours converting to DVD to find it's barely audible (I know I should have checked first)

That depends on the codec. If you used MP3, you can demux the audio track using VirtualDub, use MP3Gain to losslessly up the volume and then remux the audio. Or you could re-encode just the audio (but louder) and re-mux that with VirtualDub - no need to re-encode the video, which probably is what took most of your 8 hours...

Thanx for the tips...the original divx was converted with the Cucusoft AVI2DVD converter (all nice gui and very easy to do)...

I'm not really that sure how I separate the sound from the video...etc...is there a guide ?
