Hi Folks,
Maybe one of you guys knows what's going on here. When I capture say a TV show with my Happauge PVR250, encode it to Divx 5.2 using the HT profile @ 1500 and use Vdub to edit out the commercials the results are great. However if I then append the several segments using direct stream copy for both audio and video I get a file roughly twice the size of the total of the seperate ones. I just open/append.. open/append and so on, select DSC for both streams and save as .avi . The resulting file is fine in every way except being way too big. Anybody know why?
Thanks,

look at the lower left corner of the "append" opening screen? is that box checked by any chance?

Well, Gahhhhlee, ya know I didn't even see that and leaving it checked was the explanation. Thank yoooo sir! Does this mean that i can just pick the first file and assuming a sequential naming convention it'll add the rest automatically?
Thanks again,
