Finished installing the dvd-rw and I don't have a software to watch a DVD in it.
What freewares are available? Thanks. :iagree:
edit: Is there a codec or something that I can download and let Windows Media Player 9 play the DVD?

If so, please "punch the trouble ticket" by posting there and informing us of your fix, someone may need it soon and either run across it visually, or pull it up via the search engine.

If Windows Media Player isn't set to "autoplay", can you not pull up the disc from the Media Player's menu bar?
Media Player > File > Open > Navigate to and open the drive your disc is in.
Or, rt-click the drive your disc is in and select "Open with...", then navigate to a media player in this fashion.

actually in WMP you just have to go to "Play" > Audio CD, DVD or VCD > 'select drive' to make it play the dvd. although it doesn't have a lot of functions, it still does playback those dvds correctly.
if you do not have the correct drivers installed, you could get them in the doom9 downloads section!

edit: but of course VideoLan is probably the better solution ;)
