Maybe the commandline is too long, it's more than can be typed into the Start>Run box, from a command prompt however it does execute but that outside of D2S so D2S won't be able to pick back up after encoding.

"D:\DVD2DVD\QuEnc.exe" -i "D:\DVD2DVD\Movie\AviSynth_Script_file.avs" -o "D:\DVD2DVD\Movie\Encoded_Video_QuEnc_NTSC.mpv" -b 4757 -maxbitrate 9352 -2 -gopsize 12 -maxbframes 2 -dc 10 -auto -close -mpeg2 -trell -nocgop -nointerlaced -extreme -hq -scene -noqlb -aspectratio 4:3

Which version of QuEnc are you using?

I can't reproduce this, even with the exact same settings to generate the exact same commandline

There were some problems in the release candidates for this build with QuEnc freezing when run by DVD2SVCD but not when run from the command prompt. These seemed to have been fixed, but I guess this could be an extension of this issue.

All I can suggest as a workaround if you are determined to use Quenc, is to run DVD2SVCD until it fails, then copy and paste the commandline from the logfile into Notepad. Save this in your D:\DVD2DVD folder as Quenc.bat

Close DVD2SVCD, then reopen it. Change the text in the encoder path box so that it ends ...quenc.bat instead of quenc.exe, then crash recover from video encoding.

A bit of a PITA as you lose the automation but at least it should work.
