Problem with demuxing MPG Stream using Stream Processing

There seem to be a problem with what I mention in the topic


I have tried this on multiple disc but it's always teh same

I want to demux the mpg stream from a dvd but after the conversion
it gives me a files with 3/5 of the movie

blabla yesyes I have xp and ntfs blabla

what could be the problem?

The cause is dvddecrypter, I guess, because I even tried demuxing the mpg stream with VobEdit but same result...

Eh?

You're blaming DVD Decrypter and then saying it also happens with VobEdit? How does that one work out?!

I'm pretty sure that if there was a problem with demuxing m2v, someone would have told me about it before now. That chunk of code hasnt been touched in a while.

Why dont you post the log of you ripping it or something, maybe I'll be able to spot something.

nono I mean after decrypting with dvddecrypter, using vobedit results in the same

Oh right, that's ok then :)

The log is just that other window that opens up with the main DVD Decrypter one.

If it's not visible on your PC anymore because you closed it, simply press the 'L' key to bring it back up (or do it via the 'View' menu).

Here I made 2 pictures and included the log file

Whether single or dual-layer, same result
and I tried playing the file with different media players : WMP, VLC , Bsplayer, ZoomPlayer, same result

Hmmm seems like attachments won't work here

Ok, ignoring the time displayed there, is all of the video actually there?

What happens if you manually just select the last chapter / cell in IFO mode and rip that.

Are the contents of the file it creates different to the end bit of the original m2v file you ripped?

What happens if you rip the m2v in File mode stream processing? Do you get it all then?

To do that (incase you dont know), just select the VOB files in that VTS set (excluding the _0.VOB file) and right click on one of them. You should then see a stream processing option. After that point it's very similar to IFO modes stream processing, just select your streams, processing options and hit ok.

I upgraded to latest 3.5.1.0 just to make sure

In fact all the movie is there ,well the beginning and the end at least, but the rest of the movie seems incomplete (How this come???)

I tried to do it in File Mode with Stream Processing but same result

I ripped the last chapter (it's 6minutes 20 seconds)
after openning the m2v file it shows 3minutes 33 seconds but when it reaches that times it goes on for like 12 seconds and then ends



Hmmm maybe I should try again but this time with all options unchecked ?

like remove macrovision,patch m2v timecode, p-ob etc?

File mode stream processing will rip every m2v packet from all the files you select. If something is missing, it either wasnt in the source files or your player just isnt playing it.

problem is when playing it on standalone dvd player it is the same problem

oh well I have probably installed to many programs that have mpeg2 decoder,codec etc that it screws up the video

will try on my mate's pc later today

I installed a second boot for windows xp

there's nothing installed on it but dvddecrypter & all the windows shize

I rip it and watch with media palyer classic and it gives me the correct time...

I guess I better format my whole hdd and start anew...

If that's the case, see which filter is being used when you load the m2v and then remove it.

there was some Elecard Mpeg2 Decoder being loaded
If I remember correctly that was the codec from my tv capture card

I guess that was the problem

Anyway thanks for your help it is working right now under my first boot partition
