hi all,

since i updated xpsp2 i'm having big problems converting my avi2dvd's and even playing my avi's and xvid's for that matter,
wmp keeps crashing and so doe's my cucusoft avi2dvd converter,
i keep getting sent to the microsoft online crash analysis page,
"A Filter (IVIVIDEO.AX) was created by InterVideo, Inc." being the problem.
i've emailed intervideo but they still havn't got back to me (been 4 days now)
from what i can make out A Filter (IVIVIDEO.AX) is part of a codec pack,
why is it causing the crash and what can i do please? anyone?

thanks you

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, you've posted in a forum for DVD2AVI, a program unrelated to any Cucusoft products. See this sticky thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59667) that you must have missed.

I will ask a forum administrator to move this thread to a more appropriate forum.

Meanwhile, since you are requesting support for a commercial product, I recommend you check with Cucusoft's customer support website: http://support.cucusoft.com/. A quick search for "cucusoft" in the Doom9 forum shows a number of hits in different subforums, but none matching your exact problem.

I don't know about the crash but IVIVIDEO.AX is WinDVD's DVD video decoder.

first of all sorry for posting in the wrong area,

will pay more attention in future,

secondly, thanks for the reply, i do know it's something to do with win dvd or intervideo, i had a trial version of them installed when i bought the pc,must of stayed on there after i uninstalled it i suppose, although someone else had mentioned that it's in a new codec pack?
i don't know?
i've today unistalled xp sp2 and am trying again to (decode/recode i never know which way round it is)
an avi file to dvd,
all is going well so far in that it hasn't crashed,
proof of the pudding will be if i can burn it to disk and if it works, we'll see.............. fingers crossed
