When I backup a DVD ... let's say Region 1, what will be the Region of the backupped DVD ? can I set it to 2 ? to All (=0) ?

If this is possible, will there be any problem of framerate, I mean region 2 movies are in 25 and region 1 are mostly in 23.xxx(I don't remember exactly) or 29.976 and if I get a region 2 DVD with such framerates, will something weird happen ?

Let me explain you my problem : I long used my PC to playback DVDs and thus used to buy region1 DVDs as i prefers them to region 2(sooner releases, better extras ...) but now I have the new PS2 (=satin silver) that plays only region 2 or All (=0) and DVD-R(W) and I would like to play my r1 DVDs by backuping the on a DVD-RW if you see my point.

Thank you :D

When you make a backup of a dvd with e.g Dvdshink the dvd ends up regionfree.

Programs like DVD Shrink can also set the region. It doesn't change the video so the framerate and colour standard stays the same. It then only plays in region 2 players.

If you choose all the regions then it will be region free and should work in all players using the orginal framerate and PAL/NTSC setting. Therefore, the player needs to be able to output NTSC or convert it to PAL.

Use Dvd Decryptor.

"How could I forget that one."

Probably because it sounded like a very complicated problem. When really it was very simple to resolve.
