Using AutoGK and external Subtitles disqualifies for Standalone Player ???

Can't I view the subtitles on a standalone player or the whole film if it has external subtitles ???

Hi-

There are no standalones that can display idx/sub VobSubs. There are a very few that can display subtitles in SRT format (and maybe other other formats?) with varying degrees of success. If your standalone DVD/MPEG-4 player is one of those, then you'll have to OCR them yourself.

Hmm...what I wanted to ask was:

If I use external subtitles in autoGK, and record it on CD, does this spoil the Standalone Player compatibility completely, or does the player show the movie but no subtitles ???

BTW, how is it possible with AutoGK that it produces 2 Files (1st 700MB, 2nd only 400 MB) I've set 1400 = 2 x 700 MB in the options of AutoGK...the only thing I fixed was the minimum width to 640 px.

I don't this to repeat - I want two 700 MB files - what did I do wrong in AutoGK ???

sounds to me like the well known 'undersized files' problem - or in other words, you've saturated the codec with your settings and it just couldn't produce larger files. try changing the resolution from fixed width to auto and see if that helps. alternatively go for one cd - quality should be more than good enough if you get undersized files when going for 2 cds!
