d2v error

I´ve downloaded TMPG Encoder and I try to use it as it is described in Doom9 guide,but when I try to open d2v file,TMPG returns error message that the file is in unknown format ...what´s wrong?

Thanx for your reply,I used DVD2AVI that is enclosed in GKnot Rippack:D just downloaded the one you advised...will try that a hope it will work...thanx once more...;)
