hi,

i'm not sure, if this is possible, but on my quite slow system it takes about 10 hours to render a complete movie with autogk or gordian knot. it is anoying to have the computer running the whole day and during the night its too loud. so, i thought maybe it is possible to do the rendering in shorter parts with the ability to save the current state and pause the rendering. this feature would be very welcome by everyone with a slow computer.

This is hardly a common problem these days and answer to pause mode is given in the FAQ Q 6.9

So I want to pause GK but may be sufficent (in my case) to stop it between first and second pass as reported in the FAQs.

But I don't understand how to stop it.

If I close vdub after the second pass is started, I obtain a very small (and useless) _movie file.

Do someone can explain the correct procedure to stop between two passes and resume?

Thanks a lot
