Thumbnails won't work properly in MKV-Files

Hi all you,

I have a made some MKV Files but for none of them I get to see some Thumbnails. I have WIN Xp and i tried every View-Mode in the Explorer. I get Thumbnails for MPEG Files and Pictures, but with the MKV-Files I only get the Player-Logo in a white Box. I attached a cover.jpg, I player with the Shell-Extention-Options (like "Display Frame", ...) but no changes. Shell Extention is installed an works well (it works in the explorer, shows me the streams, the comments and the attachments) The Videofile playes well in all players (TCMP, ZoomPlayer). Everything works fine, but i won't get my Thumbnails. I used Mkv-merge for muxing.

Hope you have an idea what causes this problem!

What version of the Shell Extension do you have?

I use the latest one. Its v2.6!

Hi,

i also tried to reinstall the extention and the matroska pack, but it won't work! If i extract the Avi-File Windows shows the thumbnails without problem. When I check the usage the explorer is only listed, when i click left on the file. when i only enter the folder contai8ning my mkvs the explorer not lists in the usage table. so its still only a thumnail problem.

i have no more ideas what to try...

Something else:

When i hit the "About"-button in the Probs i see the about Window, but with an error message like "About text not loaded" or soemthing like this. Maybe this is a part of the problem as well.

Hum, you should use version 2.7 of MatroskaProp
rom had a version and he uploaded it there :
