hi all :
everytime i try to burn a DVD , the DVD burner fail to write in , the reason in the log text say " Power calibration error ",what does it mean ? i use " _NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A " , it was working fine , but became weird these few weeks , anyone can help me pls ?

hi,
u have this error generaly in 2 case :
- u have bad media try to burn them with a lower speed
- u have 2 drive on the same electric link (sorry i don't know the correct word in english). try to plug only the burner with the electric link.
PS : i think the fact to reduce speed will avoid u this problem.

If your using Nero make sure to use the latest version as this is a bug in Nero.

Out of curiosity, do you know what type of media you are using? Have you changed brands recently?
I ask because I started getting this error with my 1300A on Ritek G04s at 4x, even though they worked flawlessly before. 2x works fine. They aren't exactly the same discs though. I usually get the OEM Riteks, this time I got the Ridata brand Riteks.

i get this error with "prodye data" at 4x while before i don't have any error , however in 2x they work fine.
PS : i will also update my nero.

i used 2x disc before , everything was working fine ,recently i use 4x disc then the problem came up , but when i change the burning speed from 4x to 2x , the problem gone even when using 4x disc .
