Can you give us some info on how exactly DL is being handled ?

Correct me where I'm wrong...
- when creating an iso with read mode, the layer break is saved in the MDS file and in write mode you should load the mds ?
- When decrypting a DL-Disc in File mode (because you will do some IFO editing and create your own ISO afterwards), can the layer break still be set as on the original disc or will it be chosen "wisely" ?

Just some things that aren't 100% clear.

In ISO mode, yes it is stored and read from the MDS files and so you'll only get 1:1 if you load the MDS.

If you use File mode, no the layer break isnt copied but yes, it'll guess wisely.

Programs like DVD Maestro allow you to reauthor and select where you want the layer break to be. If you make note of that LBA, you can select it manually via the settings and DVD Decrypter will use it.

Care to elaborate what "wisely" means? Sector count divided by two? Discontinuity entry closest to the middle? If the latter, is it possible to show a list and let the user choose which one to treat as the layer break in case there is more than one?
Also, the change log says something about "proper 2 layer MDS files", so I assume none of the versions prior to 3.5 saved the layer break to the MDS file. Therefore, if I load MDS files created with older DVDDecrypter versions, the "wise" algorithm will also kick in?

I guess this rather belongs to the "DVD burning" forum, but I don't want to crosspost nor start another thread about it.
