Hi,
I had captured video from my vcr with a yakumo standalone DVD-recorder. After that I compressed this DVD with gordian knot, using dvd2avi for creating the d2v file out of the vobs.
I noticed a difference of 12 seconds between the length of the audio and the length of the movie generated by dvd2avi. I added the length of the four vobs (length taken with a software DVD-player) and it seems, that the length of the audio is correct, so the d2v file is 12 seconds to short! The movie has a length of 89 minutes.
The VHS-Source was quite bad, but I checked the status window of dvd2avi while playing the bad scenes: there was no v.e. (means video error). So it seems, that the standalone recorder works fine and generates a good stream in the VOBs.
Audio and video are in sync on the recorded DVD. I checked this with a software DVD-player.
DVD2AVI detects a framerate of 50 fps. While writing the .d2v file, in the status window displays 46 fps.
Does anybody had a suggestion how to get audio and video in sync? Any help is welcome! :)
