.VOB to .AVI - non DivX

How do you convert a .VOB file to an .AVI but have it not be DivX? I just want a plain .avi file that is not DivX related in any way. Thanks!

Uncompressed AVI ???

Load the ripped VOB into Virtual Dub Mod and go -> Video -> Compression...

Then select Uncompressed RGB !!!

what does avi have to do with divx? :confused:

leaving a vob ucompressed is kinda stupid unless you have A LOT of harddisk space...

yeah, i figured out really fast that it doesnt work very well. a minute of uncompressed avi is like 1gb.

you can use other compression methods of course if you dont like divx...

Thought you need it uncompressed for some special processing !!!


Sure, there are various compression methods beside DivX... :rolleyes:

There are lossless ones (like Huffyuv or FFV1) and lossy ones (like XviD or WMV) !!!
