so let me get this right:

you copied the dvd to your harddisk using dvdshrink (in iso mode i guess).

then you used dvdshrink to bring it to the size you want (to fit it on a dvd5)

why again did you then use nero recode?

just run nero burning rom, create a new dvd project, and drag and drop the files dvdshrink created. then just burn the dvd. everything should work fine then!

I didnt copy it as an ISO , i used decrypyt , then shrink to make some copies , i kept the file on my hard drive . Now when i try to make a dvd copy of the file i get the compile errors. . Im using the nero under dvd and using copy disc and selecting a file from HD.

Using Nero to "copy disc", the software is looking for a disc in one of your optical drives. Your Shrink output file will be in .ISO (image) format. One way to burn a copy of this image file would be...

Recorder > Burn Image > Navigate to .ISO and load

SteVe's directions will net the same result, I used this as an example so that when you click on "Recorder" in the Nero 6 menu bar, you can see that "Copy disc", and "Burn Image" are two different commands and require different setups.

You can execute a "copy disc" within Nero, but to do so, you'd need to mount the image file in a virtual drive, such as Daemon, so that your burner "sees" a disc mounted in its own drive. This is slower, though, as the burning software first makes it's own image file (in Nero, it's a .nrg file), then sends this file to the burning routine. I've always used the above commandpath, but there are more ways than this to skin the cat.

Make sense?--ammck55
