Hi'

After recently installing WinXP SP2 I'm left with an 323MB 'hidden' folder located in my WINDOWS folder - as I suspect many other people are too!

Anyway... given that I don't intend to return to SP1, would there be any problems if I deleted this folder?

Cheers

I think for Windows Service Packs, there has to be something on the hard disk if you want to uninstall them (like in the Add/Remove programs folder). What I am trying to say is that if you want to uninstall the service pack, you have to have that folder on your hard disk. There should be a check during installation that asks you whether or not you wish to be able to uninstall sp2. I too have that folder on my disk only mine is 425 MB large. You should be able to delete it if you aren't gonna revert back to sp 1.
