RealMediaSplitter - Matroska Pack Whats it ? Plz

Hi All,

In the Matroska Pack there is some thing called as

RealMediaSplitter v1.0.0.9 (2004-01-25)

what is it actually i am confused with this filters is it used to
split real media files.

where will i be able to see this filter interface in which player.

Is there a software to Split Real Media Files.

i.e. .rm and .ra files.

I hope so that i am not troubling you by asking such silly questions but these are my doubts and i want to make them clear plz dont mind.

i think splitter in this case means that it splits audio from video so both can be sent to seperate decoders in the filter chain
this filter is needed to play real media files in directshow players and should be invisible to you if you don't use something like graphedt
