OK, here is the problem...the PGC Stream information i got from DVDDecrypter tells me the following info...
---------------------------------------------------------------------
0x20 - Subtitle - English / Normal Closed Captions - [SubPicture 01: Wide] / LBA: 3 / PTS: 00:00:00.184 / Delay: 0ms
0x21 - Subtitle - English / Normal Closed Captions - [SubPicture 01: Letterbox] / LBA: 4 / PTS: 00:00:00.184 / Delay: 0ms
0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 / 720x480 (NTSC) / 16:9 / Letterboxed / LBA: 1 / PTS: 00:00:00.184 / Delay: 0ms
---------------------------------------------------------------------And when i load the file into AutoGK, AutoGK displays this as the video info: NTSC - 720x480 - 16:9 Anamorphic - 29.997fps

the AutoGK subtitle track options are...
-"ENGLISH NORMAL CLOSED CAPTIONS: WIDE"
-"ENGLISH NORMAL CLOSED CAPTIONS: LETTERBOX"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I HAVE 3 QUESTIONS...PLEASE answer them SIMPLE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD...MOST tutorials and users try to explain too much and end up forgetting to answer the ACTUAL QUESTION!!!

#1: Which subtitle option do i choose?

#2: What is the difference between the two?(cuz i thought letterbox was just a form of widescreen)...which is more compatible with both 4:3 and 16:9? cuz i might sometimes watch it on 4:3 tv and sometimes 16:9...

#3: Is it possible for me to choose BOTH "ONLY FORCED SUBTITLES" option WITH "EXTERNAL SUBTITLES" option? becuz i MUST see the forced subtitles of course...but i ALSO sometimes like to see everything else they are saying cuz SOMETIMES actors like sylvester stallone mumble a crapload of gibberish(a simple YES or NO will do...cuz if AutoGK wont do it for me i wont bother at all! cuz this is a tv series, n im often busy, which is why i use AutoGK in the first place)

I can only answer #3: rip with external subs without "forced" option on. Then when playing on the PC you can control what is being displayed via properties of DVobSub (that appears on taskbar during playback as green arrow)

#1 derives from #2 and I would say letterboxed, to watch both on 4:3 and 16:9.

forced option doesn't have anything to do with external or internal subs - its just switches one option in *.IDX file produced by vobsub.
But no, you can't have both internal and external subs with AutoGK. I suggest doing rip with forced burnt-in subs in AutoGK and process external ones with vobsub manually.

I can't see why you couldn't. But you said you wanted to see everything they were saying sometimes, hence len0x's answer, I think. (you can toggle forced subs on playback.)
Of course for the forced option to work, the subtitles have to have a forced flag in the first place .If they don't, selecting by right clicking the wanted subtitles in subresync, and highlighting them with ctrl+click then save as..... manually solves the problem. Just give it a try with autoGK and see what comes out, it would be faster than waiting for us to answer, really.

But no, you can't have both internal and external subs with AutoGK OOooh is that what it was all about? :D

yeah, he wanted to have forced always on (i.e. burnt-in) for playback on standalones and on top of that switchable external ones...

P.S. one solution would be to make first AutoGK run with forced=on, external=off. get AVI, copy it out and add the same job with external=on and wait until vobsub step is over and abort the job. This would work if you are using 1 CD rip only, coz it won't be split...
