CCE and problems with MultiProcessor system

Anyone tried CCE SP (latest full version - 2.67.00.27) on multiprocessor PC? I encode a lot of clips and CPU usage through conversion vary a lot. One clip is encoded with both CPU used to 80-90% so speed is about 2.5-3x, but another clip is slow like hell - CPU usage 20% and speed is about 0,5-0,8x! Clips have same resolution (PAL) and same format (Uncompressed AVI), but encoding speed (and CPU usage) is random. May be CCE has some problems with CPU afinity? Tried clean WinXP install, no change. Machine used is 2x2.8GHz Xeon Dell Precission 650.

Any idea?

CCE supports Multiprocessors...but avisynth doesn't - are you using avisynth? if so thats your bottleneck. also progressive encodes faster than interlaced...

are you frameserving from a NLE? if so are there any parts that needs to be rendered first....that an also be a cause of slow encodes
