With the arrival of a two week old baby in the apartment, all of a sudden everything is upside down...where did the time go?
Anyway, just a couple of hardware questions. Will it work to do AVI harddisk recording through a firewire connection to an external harddisk? My thinking is to have a couple of external harddrives in which to record, then move the harddrive to a more powerful computer in my workroom for compressing.
I use the iuVCR recorder with an MSI Personal Cinema FX 5200 card in my livingroom right now. But that machine will move to the workroom, get some power upgrades and be more of a video workstation.
Then I was wondering what experience anyone has had with the Compro VideoMate TV Gold Plus. I am a PAL user but will also be converting NTSC VHS to MPEG2.
I plan to build a new machine for the livingroom that will
be out of the reach of small hands.
