Hi guys, I have a problem that you might be able to help me with. I've searched through the forums for this but seem to have come up with nothing.
I have quite a few music DVD's that I want to put onto audio CD. My process was going to be pretty simple: rip them by chapter then use besweet to convert the ac3's to wav and I have my songs ready for CD. The thing is that the ac3 streams arent at full volume (the gain is maximum but I'm talking general RMS loudness) which could be greatly increased, so I'm doing this with soundforge. The problem is that after I have done so to each song, even if I have used the same settings on each one they are not the same volume, which means that in between songs there is a volume jump either up or down. Now the solution to this is to generate one big ac3 > wav file and apply the settings all to that. But then it is obviously one big track. So my question is...
Is there any way to split a single WAV file by the chapters on the DVD? Like by using the chapter information files from DVD decrypter or something like that? Cause then I can adjust the volume appropriately and split it correctly and everyone is happy :)
Thanks guys, any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
