Hello everybody,

First af all, I must say I bought a new computer, with a Gigabyte 8Ik1100 motherboard, but I don’t know if that could be the cause of the problem. In my old computer Scenarist works like always, but in this one everything goes fine except the import function. Weird, isn’t it?

Whenever I try to use the option "new from the script", the window from scenarist dissappears, and I can’t either use the import function which is in the file options of the programm.

I need help.
Thank you.

What OS and scenarist version do you have?

Windows Xp Service Pack 1 and Scenarist 2.7. I tried Scenarist 3 and had the same problem.

I can only guess that´s a version conflict problem advanced/studio to pro or something like that. Buil a new empty project using your new install and export it, then try to import from the file menu, if it works, then the problem is with your older scripts.

Thank you for answering.

I tried what you suggested and discovered that it wasn’t possible to export either.

I can’t imagine what kind of issue can be. I’ve been using Scenarist for a year in my other computer and never had this problem. I have not installed new programs or software that could create conflicts.

I guess at the end I’ll format my hard drive and have a new installation, to see if that solve the question. But that’s a lot of work (and may be the source of different problems), so I’ll wait in case someone knows about that specific problem and provide some help.

Some problems similar to yours occured with some nvidea boards. Sorry I can´t help more. Try sonic support for known conflicts.

Thank you. There's no knowing conflicts in Sonic support.

Anyway, I've read that people with processor Pentium 4 HT, which is the new one I have, experienced troubles with some software.

It would be very reassuring for me if someone with that same processor told me that he is using Scenarist without problems. That would mean that it isn't an issue of conflict with hardware and I would reinstall the system knowing that could be a good solution.

So, my question is:
Please, is there anyone with Pentium 4 HT who is using Scenarist without experiencing any trouble?

Thank you.

I have almost the same (only 1 GB DDR).

Sorry for answering again, more specifically: can you import and export script without problems?

If you say yes, I'm going to install everything again.
