I'm a complete noob at this, so please be gentle with any flames, that you might feel otherwise inclined to fire off...

I need to make a DVD with a piece of video and som audio. the video part i got down fine, but the audio needs to be in AC3 form AND (this is the part i can't figure out) I need to do a 360 degree, using channel selection from the audio.

With this i mean like 5 sec of music only in RightFront Speaker, the 5 sec in RightRear, the LeftRear, LeftFront, and Finally Center and perhaps also the sub section.

Anyone know what kinda program I should use for this ? and can it be done using freeware programs, as i'm not too keen on spending alot on this, if i can avoid it.

Thanks in advance.

hi, well i'd do it like this:
creat 6 mono wav files, one for each channel,
fr.wav will have 5 seconds of whatever audio you want and 25 seconds of silence appended
center.wav will have 5 secs silence - 5 secs audio - 20 secs silence
fl.wav will have 10 secs silence - 5 secs audio - 15 secs silence
etc etc

then you can just make a lst file (textfile with the 6 wav file names in the correct order) and encode it using besweet
