Hello. I'm a newbie in this forum, but not in GK..

And I have a question:

When starting any encoding job by GK (i.e. with any source and any settings), it crashes with "Out-of-bound memory access error"
When I create the same job within VDM all goes fine.

Changing the XviD version (with cleaning the registry) and reinstalling GK makes no difference.

System: WinXP SP1 + some patches, GK 0.32 beta RipPack + XviD 1.0.1

I have no idea about what's the problem - can anyone help! :)

Last, but not least, sorry for my bad English. :)

I think I've heard/read about this before. Perhaps the problem is related to your XviD settings in gknot. In 'options tab' check xvid settings and make sure the first-pass encoding type lists 'Multipass - 1st pass' and NOT 'Single pass'. Also make sure that the Xvid settings are correct right before you start the job. If this is the problem, VDubMod crashes at the beginning of the 2nd pass.

Thanks.

I've reinstalled XviD and it helped. (so, the problem is probably around settings). Now it's OK.

By the way, some time ago I was experiencing another type of crashes - VDM was crashing with error in xvidcore.dll after random amount of time during second pass (so for some time I forgot about encoding :)).
Configuration was the same.

Of course, it's not a problem now, but I wonder - why?
