mp2 decoder filter?

i seem to have problems getting my dshow players play mp2 files, i get when using dvd2avi.. i tried numerous different codecs, but none of them works.. any ideas why?

did you try madfilter from here (http://sourceforge.net/projects/maddxshow/)?

you can try DCoder's DirectShow filter, which is based on "mad audio decoder.

Generally it's a mp3 decoder, but afaik it should also playback mp2 files.




edit:
Although I think it can't work because it just loads files with "mp3" extension.
