DIF4U 1.4.7.0, BatchCCE 0.9.1.5, ScenAid 0.9.0.27, DVDDec 3.2.3.0
I've done about 8 DVD's so far with DIF4U w/o this prob.
Everything works out fine except when I create a DVD Image in DVDdec I get the error that my DVD won't fit, by 6MB.
I've run DIF4U twice now with the same results.
I would normally try to cut out a logo or copyright or something but it's to the bone right now.
Any thought?
Thanks,
Hugo

Set it to just start BatchCCEws in DOITF4U rather than automatically run, then adjust the bitrate down by 20 or 30 or so (dont forget to hit replace else it wont take effect).
I find that if a film has no or very few subs then DOITF4U occasionally estimates slightly oversize, so each time I get nervous about a movie I just reduce the bitrate a little bit. Is your DVD like this? ie no subs?
6mb?, have you got a logo or some cheesy extra you can run at maybe just 1000kbps? just to save you from doing the main movie file?
Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply
The movie is the Seven Samurai (1954). Its a Criterion Collection Movie (old, classic, b&w is their specialty)which means it has no fluff.
I tried to reauthor the menu (only 8MB) w/NUNENU4U but only got it down to 5MB. Still need another 3mb. Sounds like nothing right? But there's nothing to give up.
I might just encode again w/ BatchCCE and take your advice about manually intervening before it starts.
BTW the movie has JA audio and EN subs

Another option for the future
In DoItFast4u go into the bitrate calculator and set the DVD Size to DVD-R safe-10 or so... the setting here is what sets the calc during processing as well..
I peronally would rather lose 10-25mg of space then have it be oversized by that much :)

Is the audio LPCM? I have noticed that when there is LPCM audio, that DoItFast4U sometimes overcalculates a bitrate.

oh that's true.. one of the options "i think it's the PCM->WAV" causes DoItFast to totally ignore the audio....

No the audio wasn't LPCM but the only audio stream is 1 ch. AC3
Never seen only 1 channel audio before. Wonder if that might have accounted for the miscalculation.

BTW, I changed the DVD calculator to DVD-R safe-10 and the DVD size was right on!!!!!
Apprecicate the help from everyone.
