DVD+R grades

Can someone either describe to me the different grades of dvd's or tell me where I can go and find out? Also who makes the best DVD's? I have an HP with a crappy "big POS" Toshib DVD+RW drive in it that can only read very high quality dvd's.

I'd recommend browsing the dvd burning forum a bit - lots of talk on what's good and what's not.

I never heard of a Toshiba drive which only burns dvd+ media, btw. - they started with dvd- devices and recently switched to dvd+/- writers.

Makers of top dvd+ media would be Ricoh, nice quality dvd- media can be had from Taiyo Yuden or Mitsubishi.
