Hi, and welcome to the forum-

You didn't say what kind of audio you were talking about. If it's the AC3, then perhaps you forgot to reinstall the AC3 Filter (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Filters/ac3filter_0_70b.exe).

And instead of the SmartRipper/Dr. Divx combination, you might give Auto Gordian Knot (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64266) a try. Here's Doom9's AutoGK Guide (http://www.doom9.org/autogk.htm). Real easy and real good.

Hi-

Good, glad you're getting good rips with audio again. Another AutoGK convert.

However, back to your first problem. I was assuming the audio was in the .avi, but that you didn't have the right filter to play it. Now I'm thinking that the AC3 never made it into the .avis you were having problems with. To find out, you can check them with GSpot (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Editing/gspot221.exe). It'll tell you if the audio's in there and, if so, what kind. And it also gives you a bunch more information about the video files.
