big 3 method freezing problem

i'm trying to back up some dvds and before i get to the reauthorist stage, doitfast4u does the copying of unused VTSes.

because i am not compressing the menus at all, i just want to use the original menu vobs.

what happens is when it says copying unused vts files(or something like that), it gets to a certain percentage and just freezes up, there is a lot of hard drive activity but nothing is happening. I've done this with several dvds and got the same problem at different percentages.

also when it copies the unused vtses it shows that its copying 50 files or variants of that for different dvds, that seems a little high to me.

any help?

ok i fixed that problem with the freezing by selecting use dvd decrypter in post processing.

now i have another problem. in this case i just want the movie and the menu and i'm not encoding the menu so i'm leaving it untouched. what happens is it copies all the other VTSes in the VIDEO_TS folder so when reauthorist opens up, it shows the video_ts folder to be around 2gb and then the movie compression would be massive.

now i went into the video_ts folder and deleted all the extra vtses other then the menu and it was fine. but is there an easier way to do this so it doesnt even copy all the vtses because i am only selecting the main one in doitfast4u.

turn off the option in DoItfast4u that copies unused VTS sets.. that will prevent files being copied over

but then it doesnt copy the menu files at all.

Not that I'm aware of.... usually you want all or nothing.... Eyes`Only as well as the rest of the big 3 authors really don't recommend butchering a dvd in that way... the applications were made to make a pure backup of a dv....

ah, then i guess this is why i'm having some more problems putting the dvd back together.

when i start the dvd, it has the fbi warnings and the miramax logo. then it wants to go to the movie trailers, but i took them out so i want it to go right to the menu, but instead, i'm testing it in powerdvd, it just stops.

the main movie is vts01

the fbi warning must be part of the video_ts

the miramax logo is vts02

the previews are vts04.

so in the navigation it must go, video_ts --> vts02 --> vts04 --> vts01

i've opened the video_ts ifo in ifoedit looking for a way to make it go right form vts02 to vts01 but i cant seem to find it.

any help?
