i just reinstalled my OS (XPsp1) and i can no longer mux .aac into ogm for some reason.
this is my video creation method:

d2v to avi with gordian knot (perfect avi output)
ac3 to aac .mp4 with nero, using besweet
mp4 to mpeg4 .aac with mp4creator

but when i try to mux the .aac file(s) with OggMux_Nic, oggmux starts and then crashes. it leaves me with a short omg file that only plays up to the end of the miramax credits at the beginning of the movie. does any1 know what is going on ? im sure im doing exactly what i used to do, but its definately not working now

all/any help is appreiated!

p.s. this is exactly the same with DS OGM filters version 0.9.9.6 and version 0.9.9.5

I think OggMux_Nic should work even without OggDS (both MPEG-2 AAC and MPEG-4 AAC will do).
Make sure your AAC file plays with foobar2000.
What happens if the audio is Vorbis?

You might want to try GraphEdit, like this:

thanks for your replies, im sorry i couldnt reply sooner :o , but i didnt have time to test any of the solutions offered because im offline right now and cannot use my pc for a while (long story)..
pretty soon ill make a number of tests with different methods using graphedit, 3ivx, foobar, etc, on a fresh install of XPSP2.
_thanks again for the help but you can forget this thread untill i get access to my pc and i post back with updates :(

hopefully you'll still be here in two weeks time!

ok just got my pc back and reinstalled windows on a formatted HDD and now when i try, as far as i can tell, the exact same steps with the exact same tools, its works!
muxing, playing, everythings* fine..
its kinda annoying i cant pin down the variable that was causing this bug (might happen to some1 else) but thanks for the suggestions and patience anyhow :)

*appart from the darn preview error for large ogm files (is that gonna be fixed? )
