Hi..

I've looked at the faq to join mpeg files using tmpeg, but the merge/cut option in mpeg-tools really doesnt help me... i can add an mpeg or two but joining them just gives me a short mpeg file, i've tried using the time settings, but you'd assume it would do that for you, i've added 1 mpeg...set frames to first till last...and recored the time, then set the next mpeg to that first time to last.....anyways...is there an easy way to join these 2 files?

The merge and cut option should do it automatically for you. Just place the files in the order you want them, then give it a final output name. You shouldn't have to alter any time settings. However, I have to warn you that joining mpegs with different settings may not always be successful. You may have "merge and cut" two or three mpegs, but a media player will only recognize the first part of the mpeg and only display the time for it. The other two parts may go unrecognized and be unplayable. Also, you may get this annoying chirping sound when the "joined" portion of the mpeg is played. The best alternative is to reencode the mpegs using the same settings, then "merge and cut" them. The operation should be flawless then. ;)
