Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys!

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

You are not the first one, who has this problem. So U can find the solution with seaching this forum. But to spare your time:
'overlapped' means that a subtitle line would like to appear earlier (00:06:01:07), than the previous one disappears (00:06:02:02). DVD players cannot handle this. That's why your project fails.
I think the only way to correct the prob is to manually correct the subtitle timecodes in Scenarist. It is a while. If I remember well, you have to:
Go to the track editor tab, double click on the only track you have.
It will open, and let you see the video, audio, subtitle tracks. Search for the 17th subtitle. You can drag the time marker to eliminate overlapping.

Thank you for responding with an answer, I will try to figure things out in Scenarist. Sorry about not searching, but I had no idea what to search for, since I didn't really know what went wrong.

If you have an error message, you can search for the error message or for a part of it. This will find posts from people who have the same problem like you.
I hope you managed with Scenarist.

Yes, I figured it out after I got another error and did just that.
