Hi, I just installed Gordian Knot 0.32b and I see some completely different settings under "Interleaving & AVI-Overhead" (where I could usually choose "1x vbr-mp3," usually). How do I use the new settings?

Thanks,

Mike.

I hadnt realized they were different. They are indeed...

As usual, calculate frame-overhead for Divx, not for Xvid

if you have one audio track, you use the audio 1 drop down to select the type of audio you are using (or not).
if you have 2 audio tracks, you use both drop downs, otherwise leave audio 2 as no audio.
This is all to calculate the correct overhead for audio, so as to get an accurate output size.

The frames thing is where you set the interleave value, the GK hint says 1-2 for ac3, and around 10 for mp3, and that's about it :) .You will see the interleaving overhead and interval value change in the right box with different values selected.

I think it's reasonably easy ;)

Fair enough. I just panicked a bit; I've done many rips with the old version and I got a little too cozy with it, you know. Thanks for the hints. ;)
