Hi People,

Although I've been backing up DVD's for quite a while now, I'm still not quite sure how to produce the best quality for episodic dvds ie. Tv series. Dvd's of this categeory tend to run for a long time,so I want to use CCE for encoding as i do when i backup long movies.

I've used DVD Shrink 3.2, although quality is good, it doesnt match the results that CCE produces when backing up a 3hr movie. I've searched all over the net for guides on being able to achieve this but to no avail. My objectives are to keep everything the same as the original whilst producing the best possible quality.

If anybody can give me some pointers then I would gladly like to hear them.

your question should be posted in forum of "DVD-Rebuilder". With RB your can backup the whole disk with CCE.

Specially for Episode DVDs with TV-contant you should use some filter to reduce the noise and save bits for quality. Also very important is to keep the interlacing(use the denoise filter on each field, not on frame) to reach the maximum sharpness.

Thanks 4 your help htc, I tryed Rebuilder but still a little unsure about a couple of things. The program works well with CCE and the quality is excellent. You mentioned about using a denoise filter could you explain a little more, is the filter inc in RB? My backup source is 24 season 1, (DVD)

Thanks
