The forum handles long strings poorly, so I used Google to search the forum for this error and got nothing.

I just successfully ripped Henry IV and the Animatrix (with some sync problems I fixed later), but now my copy of Gordian Knot 0.28.7 refuses to load my dvd2avi file outright! All is states is "File is not a valid dvd2avi project, avi, or avs file!"

I tried DVD2AVI 1.77.3dg1.0.0.RC2 enclosed with the GKnot package, I tried DVD2AVI 1.76, and even DGIndex 1.0.12, same result!

What am I doing wrong? (And let's assume I ripped the thing properly, because I used idential settings for the other DVDs which went through A-OK.)

Thanks,

Mike.

Try updating your GKnot, and using the DGIndex that comes with it.

Doesn't help. Same symptoms here w/ GK 0.32b and DGIndex 1.0.12.

This is new for me w/ 0.32b.

Answered at Sourceforge: delete registry keys (in options tab). Just did it. Works now. Yay.

Try that : delete registry keys again, uninstall GK, make sure there is no leftover GK folder or anything ....... reinstall 0.32, and redo your d2v with this configuration, don't use an old d2v.
I know sometimes i have to sort of insist to get some d2v accepted, after 2 or 3 error messages it loads........ if this doesn't work >>> hhhmmmmmm. Do you get an error only for that particular movie?

Yes. With Adaptation, as a matter of fact. Has anyone else had this problem?

At any rate, I will try this, thanks.

Have you tried re-decrypting the vobs? and don't enable stream processing :)

I, uh, don't have it anymore. :( At any rate, where is that option?

That's not a GKnot option. niamh means for you to start over again ripping the vob files to your hard drive with DVD Decrypter.
