CCE 2.5 freezing my computer

Can somebody help me out here? I've been using CCE 2.5 to encode movies for a while. Recently I upgraded my computer with a 3200+ Athlon, 1gb RAM, and now when I use CCE I notice it freezes my whole pc and I cant move my mouse. Usually after 15-20 minutes after starting it. It doesnt always freeze at the same spot though. Im not overclocking anything either. It has done this on every movie I have tried so far. What could be causing this?

It definitely sounds like a hardware issue like overheating or bad memory. Remember CCE really stresses your system, leaving CPU at 100% for hours and moving gigabytes of data.

I have been having exactly the same problem as
YaoMing11 after upgrading to an AMD Athlon 2800+. In my case it wasn't a hardware issue and I have found that applying tsunami's Athlon CRC patch has resolved the issue.
