Does anyone have a clue what´s wrong?

There seem to be multiple problems. First, Besweet didn't generate any output. You could try to copy the extracted_audio_1 file to the encoded_audio_1 as a temporary workaround. Check the Encoded_audio_1.log for more information and/or post that.
In addition, CCE apparently only encoded like 40 megs. Did you get any error messages from this program? (Or maybe you just deleted some other files while it was encoding.)
Due to the lack of audio (and video?), mplex fails to produce any output, hence dvdauthor fails as well.

I am afraid I'm no expert for dvd2svcd when it comes to dvd->dvd conversions, sb else might offer more substantial advice.

Hi. I'm having the same problem with AVI2DVD since installing V1.2.2 build 2. The "Encoded_audio_1.mp2" file is actually the same size as the "Encoded_audio_1.mp2.wav" file so I assume no encoding has taken place. Mplex obviously isn't working due to the incorrect audio format so DVD Author can't create an image either. I just tried reloading 1.2.2 b1 and it worked fine.

Please try and use the BeSweet version used in 1.2.2 Build 1, maybe that's where the problem is.

Thanks D2S. I'll give it a go later. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hello again DVD2SVCD. I re-installed 1.2.2b2 & swapped BeSweet1.5b29 with version 1.5b26. So far so good. It is now creating an mp2 file so I can only assume it will work from now on.
Thanks for your help.

Just in case here are the file details:
xvid, PAL, 128kb mp3 audio.
