Must be optomized for amd dual processors. Did deep analasis and sharp and took about 7 minutes total time. WOW.

Are you sure those options weren't greyed out? That kind of speed sounds more like a straight-across, no-compression-needed, transfer. If not... damn! I need a faster system!

Things seem to go slower if you have a higher compression rate. Also it seems the initial time estimate can be way off. It might start saying 15 minutes remaining, then come back and there's 2 hours left. I'm doing a full dvd9 now packed with extra's on an AMD 2500 and it's going to be close to 3 hours total with analysis.

I had it set at 95% on the re encode. I also noticed that both cpu's were at 100% utilization as well. It use to take around 18 minutes to do the same % rate. They were not greyed out as I had them both checked.

If you were reading from the HD it sounds right.. but I dont think there exists a dvd-rom drive that can rip a 8GB dual layer disc in 3.5 minutes.. sounds pretty fast for the HD too :D

Hi,
if you use compression ratios of 95% then some of the new quality enhancements aren't used at all!! unfortunately the GUI doesn't show this, so it's a bit hard to understand. The Adaptive Error Correction in fact takes much longer than a 'normal' transcode when not using AEC.

chipvideo is right actually.
DVDShrink 3.2 can use two processors now, which wasnt the case with earlier versions. I noticed it too, since it's now using P4 HT technology.

sure, this can be true.
but i wouldn't call this 'optimized for amd dual processors' as chipvideo wrote...
