I have four dvds that I would like to rip to my computer, and compress into 700mb .avi files. I am using DVD Decrypter + AutoGK for the ripping and encoding process. However, when I rip any of the four dvds, preview them in MPC, the video does not appear to be high quality:

The discs are brand new, mint, so I don't know what the problem is. any ideas?

Well, at first I'd try playing them with a different player like VideoLAN Client (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html) to make sure the files are bad... I've had MPC do funny things times and again.
np: Deadbeat - A Joyful Noise (Part II) (Something Borrowed, Something Blue)

Leak,
I have tried multiple media players, all of which produced the same results. I am sure the problem lies within my ripped dvd files.
