I'm all open to suggestions...

I've had this dvd200j for some time. I bought a 25 DVD+R spindle from a no-brand. I had the usual burned out, but most of the time the process used to work, especially after I upgraded the firmware to latest specs. Now I've got two spindles with Phillips brand. I went through 5 DVDs and wasn't able to have luck with any. Tried basically everything, switching cables, power supplies, DMA mode on and off, and now I am stuck with something like a 100 euro worth of disks which I can't exchange (for a reason), and can't use. The funny thing is that I was able to burn one of the dics from the last batch without any problems.

So I would like to hear which of the following you'd do in my place:

- Buy a cheap NEC 2500A and try my luck with the discs?
- Ditch the Phillips blanks and resume using the old drive?
- Sit down and cry?

TIA, people!

I would take the first option. ;-)
