tmpgenc driving me mad

ok here's the problem i'm having.

after a recent hdd died on me i have had nothing but trouble with tmpgenc ver 2.513.53.162

i tried loading svcd into tmpg to convert to dvd but the programme just keeps freezing and i get the not responding message.

i have tried everything i know to get it working but to no avail

i have power dvd so i have the codecs installed, i have changed the direct show to priority 2, i also have the divx 511 and xvid codecs

any help is appreciated

Something to try, open the svcd mpg with virtualdubmod and
frameserve to tmpgenc.
