DVD Freezing when jumping to specific chapters

Hi,

I've recently tried to back up a DVD9 copy of Region 1 movie called Rashomon.
I used the Big 3 tools (Scenarist, Authorist, DoItFast4U, CCE).

After done with the encoding, authoring, and IFOUpdating,....I create a virtual drive the view the DVD on my computer.

I can play the movie fine if starting from beginning.

However, Whenever I try to access a specific chapter of the movie, the movie would jump to that chapter, then just freezes...

Any help on this would be appreciated, thanx...

Classic ifoupdate problem! You'll swear blind that you're doing it right when you're not. Have another read thru the guide, see the sticky above on guides and faqs, there is a link to 'an easier way to do ifoupdate'.

Plently of us got the ifoupdate step wrong to start with, jumping to the wrong chapter is a clear indication.

EDIT - bah, i should read the post, jumping to correct chapter and freezing? Maybe I'm wrong then, but try ifoupdate again.

Try batchupdateifo (its in a sticky post) instead.. it fixes some issues with ifoupdate. also the default settings should be most compatible with seeking issues. please make sure you restore the original ifos before trying batchupdate or you may carry the problem over.
