Adding root menu to an already authored DVD

How could I add a new root menu to an already authored DVD preserving the already authored menu functionality? Obviously I don't have the project which created the already authored DVD.

One sure working solution is to demux all Streams and to reauthor

You can use DVDRemake to change the command in PGC,
or PgcEdit from here to edit the PGC or add PGC's (This program can handle more commands then IFOEdit)

I use DVDFab to generate a new VMG (VIDEO_TS.IFO) where all the PGC's are blank, then copy the commands from the original file, changing if it's necesary. The new VIDEO_TS.IFO can have the order of VMG titles diferent then the original file.
Of course I did this things because I want to add a new movie to the DVD.
And you got to know a bit of programming and a bit of DVD structure
